Mantra 1
शत्रुनाशनम्। आपो॒ यद् व॒स्तप॒स्तेन॒ तं प्रति॑ तपत॒ यो॒३स्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः
यह मंत्र दुश्मन को खत्म करने के लिए है। पानी, तुम्मे जो गर्मी है, उससे उस आदमी को जला दो जो हमसे नफरत करता है। हम भी उससे नफरत करते हैं, तो उसको वापिस भेजो।

आपो॒ यद् वो॒ हर॒स्तेन॒ तं प्रति॑ हरत॒ यो॒३स्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः
हे पानी, तुम्हारी जो ले जाने की ताकत है, उससे उस आदमी को वापस ले जाओ। वो हमसे दुश्मनी करता है, हम भी उससे दुश्मनी करते हैं। उसकी बुरी चाल वापस उसपे फंस जाए।

आपो॒ यद् वो॒ऽर्चिस्तेन॒ तं प्रत्य॑र्चत॒ यो॒३स्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः
हे पानी, तुम्हारी जो चमक है, उससे उस आदमी को वापस चमक के दिखाओ। वो हमसे दुश्मनी रखता है, हम भी उससे दुश्मनी रखते हैं। उसकी बुरी नज़र वापस उसपे पड़ जाए।

आपो॒ यद् वः॑ शो॒चिस्तेन॒ तं प्रति॑ शोचत॒ यो॒३स्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः
हे पानी, तुम्हारी जो आग है, उससे उस आदमी को जला के दिखाओ। वो हमसे नफरत करता है, हम भी उससे नफरत करते हैं। उसकी बुरी हरकत वापस उसपे लग जाए।

आपो॒ यद् व॒स्तेज॒स्तेन॒ तम॑ते॒जसं॑ कृणुत॒ यो॒३स्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मः
पानी से यह प्रेयर है। पानी, तुम्मे जो ताकत है, उससे उस आदमी को कमज़ोर कर दो जो हमसे नफरत करता है। हम भी उससे नफरत करते हैं, तो उसकी ताकत खत्म कर दो।
It is used to counter and reverse hostility—social enmity or sorcery-like harm—by invoking the Waters to send the force back and weaken the aggressor’s efficacy (tejas).
In Atharvanic thought, water is not only cleansing; it can carry an inner heat/radiance (arciṣ/tejas) that acts as an active protective and retaliatory power when ritually addressed.
The core substance is water itself. Many prayogas use only clean water consecrated by recitation and applied by sprinkling for protection and symbolic reversal.
