Atharva Veda 19.23.26: Kanda 19, Anuvaka 3, Sukta 23, Mantra 26

Sukta 23

प्रा॒जा॒प॒त्याभ्यां॒ स्वाहा॑

prājāpatyā́bhyāṃ svā́hā

Oblation, svāhā, unto the two Prajāpatyas.

प्रजापति के दो बेटे या दो लोगों के लिए यह आहुति है। स्वाहा बोल के उन्हें भी ऑफरिंग दी जाती है। प्रजापति भगवान के दो लोगों को यह मंत्र समर्पित करता है।

What it says

A svāhā-dedication to the ‘two Prajāpatyas’ (prājāpatyābhyām), assigning an oblation to generative/order-making powers associated with Prajāpati.

The inner meaning

The mind offers to the principle of generativity and governance: align desire (creation) with constraint (order). Psychologically it supports responsible growth—fertility of projects without chaos.

The truth in it

Creation thrives when it is offered back to order; generativity without dedication becomes entropy, dedication without generativity becomes sterility.

Kind of hymn
Paustika / Śānti (dedicatory homa-formulas)

Its aim

To secure generativity, order, and ritual prosperity by dedicating an oblation to Prajāpati-associated powers.
