Sukta 16
अभयम्। अ॒स॒प॒त्नं पु॒रस्ता॑त् प॒श्चान्नो॒ अभ॑यं कृतम्। स॒वि॒ता मा॑ दक्षिण॒त उ॑त्त॒रान्मा॒ शची॒पतिः॑
abháyam | asapátnam purástāt paścā́n no abháyaṃ kṛtám | savitā́ mā dakṣiṇatá uttarā́n mā śacī́patiḥ ||
Fearlessness—rival-less in front, behind for us is fearlessness made. Let Savitar guard me from the south; from the north let the Lord of Śacī guard me.
कोई हम से टक्कर न ले, आगे से भी नहीं, पीछे से भी नहीं। हम सेफ हों। सविता देवता मुझे दक्षिण से बचाएँ। इंद्र देवता मुझे उत्तर से सुरक्षित रखें।
