Sukta 9
इ॒मानि॒ यानि॒ पञ्चे॑न्द्रि॒याणि॒ मनः॑षष्ठानि मे हृ॒दि ब्रह्म॑णा॒ संशि॑तानि । यैरे॒व स॑सृ॒जे घो॒रं तैरे॒व शान्ति॑रस्तु नः
imā́ni yā́ni páñcendriyā́ṇi mánaḥ-ṣaṣṭhāni me hṛdí bráhmaṇā saṃśitā́ni | yáir evá sasṛjé ghóram táir evá śā́ntir astu naḥ
These five sense-powers, with mind the sixth, that in my heart are compacted by brahman—by them indeed the dreadful was sent forth; by those same let peace be ours.
पाँच इंद्रिया हैं और छठा है मन। यह सब मेरे दिल में ब्रह्मा से जुड़ के हैं। इन्हीं से डरानाक चीज़ें बनी हैं। इन्हीं से हमारे लिए शांति हो।
