Sukta 8
यतः॒ सूर्यः॑ उ॒देत्यस्तं॒ यत्र॑ च॒ गच्छ॑ति । तदे॒व म॑न्ये॒ऽहं ज्ये॒ष्ठं तदु॒ नात्ये॑ति॒ किं च॒न
yatáḥ sū́rya udéty ástaṃ yátra ca gácchati | tád evá manye ’háṃ jyéṣṭhaṃ tád u nā́tyeti kíṃ cana ||
Whence the Sun ariseth, and whither he goeth down to rest—this very thing I hold for chiefest; beyond that naught at all doth pass.
जहाँ से सूरज उगता है और जहाँ डूबता है, मैं उसी को सबसे बड़ा मानता हूँ। उससे बड़ा और कुछ भी नहीं है।
