आपदः सम्पदः काले दैवादेवेति निश्चयी ।
तृप्तः स्वस्थेन्द्रियो नित्यं न वाञ्छति न शोचति ॥ ११-३॥
āpadaḥ sampadaḥ kāle daivādeveti niścayī .
tṛptaḥ svasthendriyo nityaṃ na vāñchati na śocati .. 11-3..
बुरा वक़्त और अच्छा वक़्त, दोनों अपने टाइम पर आते हैं। यह सब लिखा है, कोई चेंज नहीं कर सकता। जो यह बात समझ लेता है, वो खुश रहता है। उसकी फीलिंग्स कंट्रोल में होती हैं। न वो और माँगता है, न दुखता है।
It says that one who is certain that both fortune and misfortune are governed by time and fate remains inwardly content and undisturbed.
Because when events are understood as arising through time and fate, craving and lamentation lose their force, allowing the senses to remain stable.
The translation emphasizes inner freedom from desire and sorrow, not negligence. It points to equanimity amid changing circumstances.
