पुरोपवनवनस्पतीनां पुष्पफलच्छायावतां प्ररोहच्छेदने षट्पणः क्षुद्रशाखाच्छेदने द्वादशपणः पीनशाखाच्च्छेदने चतुर्विंशतिपणः स्कन्धवधे पूर्वः साहसदण्डः समुच्छित्तौ मध्यमः ॥
puropavanavanaspatīnāṃ puṣpaphalacchāyāvatāṃ prarohacchedane ṣaṭpaṇaḥ | kṣudraśākhācchedane dvādaśapaṇaḥ | pīnaśākhācchedane caturviṃśatipaṇaḥ | skandhavadhe pūrvaḥ sāhasadaṇḍaḥ samucchittau madhyamaḥ ||
शहर के पार्क में जो पेड़ फूल, फल या छाव देते हैं, उनकी नरम डाल काटने पर छह पण जुर्माना लगेगा। छोटी डाल काटने पर बारह पण, और मोटी डाल काटने पर छब्बीस पण लगेगा। पेड़ का तना मारने पे पहला साहस दंड लगेगा, और पेड़ उखाड़ने पे मध्यम साहस दंड लगेगा।
