Is mantra mein Usha devi ki prarthana hai. Wo subah ke pehle chamakdar sanket laati hain. Unke aane se duniya phir se roshni ki taraf mudi. Usha devi Surya ko saath laati hain aur Agni ko wapas jalati hain. Yajna ka kaam shuru hota hai aur andhera door ho jata hai. Kavi prarthana karte hain ki Usha devi acche vardaan dein. Wo sabke confusion door karein aur gaane wale logon ki raksha karein.

Mantra 1
प्रति केतवः प्रथमा अदृश्रन्नूर्ध्वा अस्या अञ्जयो वि श्रयन्ते । उषो अर्वाचा बृहता रथेन ज्योतिष्मता वाममस्मभ्यं वक्षि ॥
Subah hone ke pehle hi nishaniyan dikhne lagti hain. Usha ki chamak failne lagti hai. Usha, humare paas aao. Tumhara bada rath hai jo roshni se bhara hai. Humare liye woh laao jo humein achha lage aur aage badhaye.

प्रति षीमग्निर्जरते समिद्धः प्रति विप्रासो मतिभिर्गृणन्तः । उषा याति ज्योतिषा बाधमाना विश्वा तमांसि दुरिताप देवी ॥
Agni jalta hai aur uthta hai. Rishi log apne dil se gaate hain. Usha roshni lekar aage badhti hai. Andhera peeche hat jaata hai. Woh devi buri cheezein jala deti hai.

एता उ त्याः प्रत्यदृश्रन्पुरस्ताज्ज्योतिर्यच्छन्तीरुषसो विभातीः । अजीजनन्त्सूर्यं यज्ञमग्निमपाचीनं तमो अगादजुष्टम् ॥
Yeh subah ki roshniyan saamne aa gayi hain. Unhone Surya ko janma hai. Yagya aur Agni bhi shuru hue. Andhera ab nahi dikhta, woh chala gaya.

अचेति दिवो दुहिता मघोनी विश्वे पश्यन्त्युषसं विभातीम् । आस्थाद्रथं स्वधया युज्यमानमा यमश्वासः सुयुजो वहन्ति ॥
Aasman ki beti Usha jaag uthi hai. Sab log chamakti hui subah ko dekh rahe hain. Usne apna rath liya hai. Apni shakti se usse joda hai. Uske ghode use aage le ja rahe hain.

प्रति त्वाद्य सुमनसो बुधन्तास्माकासो मघवानो वयं च । तिल्विलायध्वमुषसो विभातीर्यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥
Aaj hum tumhare liye achhe dil se jaag rahe hain. Hum log bhi isme hain jo achha chahte hain. Chamakti subaho, uljhan hata do. Hamesha humara bhala karo.
