Anuṣṭubh (shorter 8-syllable cadence; hymn 5.70 is characteristically compact)

Is mantra mein Mitra-Varuna ko bulaya gaya hai jo hamare saath hain aur madad karte hain. Woh roshni aur sahi raasta dikhate hain taki hum kathin waqt se gujar sakein. Hum unse suraksha maangte hain aur dushman taakaton par jeet chahte hain. Yeh humare andar ke rukawaton ko door karne mein madad karta hai. Ant mein hum prarthana karte hain ki hamare shareer aur jaan ko koi bimari na lage. Mitra-Varuna hume rakhein aur koi bura asar na ho.
