Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (likely; edition-dependent).
Yeh ek chhota mantra hai jo aapko aayu aur taakat dene ke liye bana hai. Isme Marut, Pushan, Brihaspati aur Agni ko bulaya jata hai. Marut aapko josh aur taakat dete hain. Pushan aapko khana aur sahi raasta dikhate hain. Brihaspati aapki baat ko powerful banate hain. Agni aapke liye ek aag jala ke shakti deta hai. Isse aapko bacche, paisa aur lambi umar milti hai. Yeh sab mil kar aapko ek full life deta hai.
It is used for āyuṣya (longevity) and paustika (increase)—to bless a person with long life along with progeny and wealth through a consecratory sprinkling prayer.
Each contributes a facet of well-being: Maruts give vigor, Pūṣan gives nourishment and protection, Bṛhaspati grants sacred effectiveness, and Agni seals the blessing through consecration.
Traditionally a simple sprinkling with clean water (optionally with a little ghee) before the household fire is sufficient; the core requirement is focused recitation with the intent of consecration.
