Devata: Anumati (personified Consent/Approval)
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (predominant)
Is mantra mein Anumati se prayog kiya gaya hai. Anumati matlab wo shakti jo haan karti hai aur sahayog deti hai. Yajman kehta hai ki Anumati hamare upar accha soche.
Mantra 1
Aaj Anumati humari puja ko deviyon ke beech mein maan le. Agni jo havan le ke aata hai, woh mera puja karne wale ke liye hazir ho. Bhagwan ashirwad de ke yeh kaam sahi ho.
Mantra 2
Hey Anumati, tum hamein saath deti ho aur hamare bhale ki sochti ho. Hamari puja aur hawan mein tujhe khushi milti hai.
Hey Anumati, jo naam tujhe bulane mein aasan hai, jisse tu khush hoti hai, usse bulata hoon. Hamari yagya-puja ko poora kar de. Hey devi, hamein dhan de aur aulaad de jo ghar ka naam roshan kare.
Mantra 5
Anumati devi is yagya mein aayi hai.
Anumati devi sab kuchh hai. Jo khada hai, jo chal raha hai, jo bhi duniya mein hil raha hai, woh sab usmein hai. He devi, tumhari acchi soch mein hum rahen. Anumati, tum hamare saath ho, tum hamare baare mein accha sochti ho.
Anumati is the personified power of consent and approval—the divine assent that makes an offering acceptable and lets the desired results (welfare, progeny, prosperity) mature.
It seeks approval of the yajña, protection of the ritual from obstacles, household welfare (śam), agrarian success (good fields), and procreative success (strong sons and progeny).
It is suited to household offerings or the opening/authorization of a rite: recited with simple āhutis into Agni, asking Anumati to accept the offering and bless the patron’s home with increase and children.
