Is sukta mein kai devtaon ko bulaya gaya hai jaise Dhatr, Savitr, Prajapati, Agni, Tvastr aur Vishnu. Yeh sab devta ko bolte hain ki havan samagri le lo aur ghar ki kismat pakki karo. Iska main maqsad hai ki insaan ko achha ghar mile aur ghar mein achhi cheezein aayein. Aage yeh bhi maanga hai ki aulad ho aur khandaan aage badhe. Yeh sab devta milkar maante hain aur yajman ki zindagi mein samriddhi daal dete hain. Ghar, dhan aur aulad - teeno cheezein "place" ho jaati hain is mantra se.
Mantra 1
Dua hai ki Dhata humein paisa de. Wohi toh sabka malik hai, saari duniya ka sardar. Woh humein poora de, jisse humara kaam chal jaye.
Mantra 2
Dhata bhagwan jo denewala hai, woh jo yahan bhakti kar raha hai usko aage badhne wala ghar de. Yeh ghar uski jaan mein jaan daalega. Hum us bhagwan ki acchi nazar ko apne dil mein basa lete hain. Woh sab kuch dene wala hai.
Mantra 3
Dhata bhagwan uske ghar mein sab acchi cheezein de. Woh aulad chahta hai, toh uski yeh dua hai. Saare dev uske liye amrit phaila dein. Amrit matlab jo marne wali cheez nahi hai. Aditi aur saare dev milkar uski bhalai karein.
Mantra 4
Dhata aur Savita is mein khush hon. Prajapati jo khazeena ka malik hai, hamara Agni. Tvashta aur Vishnu dono milkar bacchon ke saath khush hokar yagya karne wale ko dhan dein.
It is recited to stabilize household prosperity—securing a life-supporting dwelling, material goods, wealth (draviṇa), and especially progeny for the yajamāna.
The sukta aims at a ‘complete’ boon (home + wealth + offspring). Dhātṛ establishes, Savitṛ impels, Prajāpati governs progeny/treasure, Agni carries the offering, Tvaṣṭṛ fashions fertility, and Viṣṇu sustains expansion—together ensuring unanimous success.
Ideally it accompanies a simple domestic offering into Agni, since the hymn asks the gods to ‘take pleasure in this.’ In practice, it can also be recited as a household prayer with a symbolic or mental offering when fire is unavailable.
