Rishi: Traditionally Savitar-hymn seers (RV parallels suggest a learned, RV-derived stratum; exact AV anukramaṇī attribution to be checked)
Devata: Savitar
Chandas: Triṣṭubh/Jagatī-type cadence is possible; confirm by syllable count in critical edition (this verse is not a simple anuṣṭubh).
Is chapter mein char mantra hain jo Savitar bhagwan ko bulate hain. Isse aapko acche cheezein milti hain, khaas kar gaay-bail aur sthir sampatti. Yahan yaad kiya gaya hai ki Savitar ne pehle pita ko ooncha sthan aur wide jagah di thi. Aaj ki sampatti wohi purani dharma parampara ka hissa hai.
Savita devta ke liye gaata hoon, jo sabko aage badhata hai. Jo do jagah khada hota hai, jo rishiyo ki soch rakhta hai. Jo sach bulaata hai, jisme khazana hai, uski taraf apna dil lagata hoon.
Mantra 2
Uska kaam seedha hai, uski roshni chamak uthi hai jab woh aage badhata hai. Uske haath sonde jaise chamak rahe hain, woh accha sochne wala hai. Usne aasman ko apni karam se naap liya hai.
Mantra 3
Deva, tune pehle pita ke liye ooncha sthan banaya. Unke liye khula space diya. Ab Savitar, hamare liye bhi aisa hi karo. Roz din acchi cheezein bhejo. Humare paas bahut pasu hon, dhan ho.
Mantra 4
Savitar deva ghar mein rehta hai. Log usko chunte hain kyunki woh accha hai. Woh deta hai dhan, hoshiyari, aur lambi umar. Woh Soma piye, khush ho. Yeh sab uske niyam mein chalta hai.
To obtain Savitar’s auspicious impulsion so the worshipper’s intention becomes effective and prosperity arrives steadily—especially desirable goods and abundance of cattle.
It cites Savitar’s primeval gift of exaltation and spacious protection as a precedent, implying that present prosperity is a lawful continuation of that same divine ordinance.
The text mentions Soma, but the hymn can be used devotionally with cleanliness, water, and a clear intention; a small offering (ghee or a simple libation) is optional in domestic practice.
