From the Black, from Taimāta, from the Brown, and from the waterless; from Sātrāsāha’s fury—I release (thee) away, as a bowstring from the bow, as chariots are let go.
Main tumhe chhod deta hoon, kale se, Taimata se, bhure se, aur jahan paani nahi hai. Satrasaha ke gusse se bhi main tumhe azad karta hoon. Jaise dhanush se dhanush ki dor chhod di jaye, waise main tumhe chhod deta hoon. Jaise rath ko chhod diya jaye, waise tum bhi nikal jao.
Rishi: Atharvanic (per anukramaṇī).
Devata: Poison/serpent classes as adversaries; the releasing power (mocana) as operative deity.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (probable).
Primary: shanta
Secondary: vira
