Rishi: Atharvanic seer (often anonymous/Angirasa in anukramaṇī for such charms; varies).
Devata: Oṣadhi/Vanaspati (plant-power) as operative deity
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (typical for compact domestic charms)
Is mantra mein ek aurat apni sauteli co-wife ko bhagane ke liye plant aur herb ki power use karti hai. Wo ek special oshadhi ya vanaspati ko khod kar nikalti hai aur use apne husband ke paas lagati hai. Mantra ke through wo kehti hai ki main upar hoon aur wo dusri aurat neeche hai. Is tarah wo apne husband ka pyar sirf apne liye secure karti hai. Husband ka dil uski taraf bhi bhaaga karta hai jaise paani apna rasta banata hai. Yeh ek practical rite hai jo social domination aur mind-directing imagery dono use karta hai.
Mantra 1
Hey vanaspati, main yeh jadi booti ukhad raha hoon. Yeh saari bootiyon mein sabse taakatwar hai. Isse aurat apni sautan ko bhaga deti hai. Isse pati milta hai.
Mantra 2
Teri patte bahut bade hain, tu bhagwan ki taraf se aayi hai, tujhmein taakat hai. Meri sautin ko door bhej de. Mere pati ko sirf mera bana de.
Mantra 3
Tera naam is pati ke dil mein nahi basa. Woh humein pasand nahi karta. Chalo, us sautin ko bahut door bhej dete hain.
Mantra 4
Main unse upar hoon, aur aur upar jaana chahti hoon. Jo meri badi bahu hai, woh mujhse neeche rahe. Woh neeche wale logon mein reh jaye.
Mantra 5
Main aisa hoon jo jeet ke saath madad karta hoon. Tu badi takat wali hai. Dono hum jeetne wali takat leke dushman ko hara denge.
Mantra 6
Main tumhare upar badi takat daalta hoon, aur usse bhi badi takat daalta hoon. Tumhara mann mere peeche bhaago, jaise gai apne bacche ke peeche bhaagti hai. Jaise paani apna raasta bana ke bhaagta hai, waise tumhara mann mere peeche aaye.
It is used to subdue or expel a rival co-wife and to secure the husband’s exclusive attachment to the client, using a dug-up charm-herb plus spoken compulsion formulas.
In Atharvanic practice, plants are treated as living power. The herb functions as the physical carrier of the mantra’s intent—especially effective for domestic rivalry where a tangible charm is desired.
They are ritualized social directions: ‘higher’ signals precedence and authority for the operator, while ‘below’ symbolically pushes the rival into inferiority and exclusion within household space and status.
