Sukta 79

Rishi: RV-derived Indra hymn seer (per RV parallel).

Devata: Indra (Puruhūta)

Chandas: Mixed/expanded Anuṣṭubh or Triṣṭubh-like (to be confirmed by RV parallel metrical analysis).

Is chhote mantra mein Indra ko Puruhuta ke naam se bulaya ja raha hai. Woh prarthi ko apne bete ki tarah marg darshan den. Isse insaan sahi faisla lene ki takat paata hai. Mantra mein aasha hai ki hum jeete rahein aur roshni tak pahunchein. Sath hi chhupi hui dushman taqaton ko door kiya ja raha hai. Indra se guwahi mangi gayi hai mushkil raston aur khatarnak paani se paar lagaane ki. Yeh mantra lambi umar aur safalta ke liye hai.
