saṃtapya bahudhā devi dakṣiṇo dadhimāgataḥ | tatra vidhvaṃsayāmāsa ṛṣīṇāmāśramāṇi vai
हे देवी! अनेक प्रकार से प्राणियों को जलाता हुआ दक्षिण दिशा का दधिमान वहाँ आया और उसने ऋषियों के आश्रमों का नाश करना आरम्भ किया।
