तदुत्पत्तिं प्रवक्ष्यामि शृणु श्रद्धासमन्विता । पुरा दानवशार्दूलो महिषाख्यो महाबलः
tadutpattiṃ pravakṣyāmi śṛṇu śraddhāsamanvitā | purā dānavaśārdūlo mahiṣākhyo mahābalaḥ
अब मैं उसकी उत्पत्ति कहता हूँ; श्रद्धा सहित सुनो। प्राचीन काल में दानवों में सिंह समान, महाबली ‘महिषाख्य’ नामक एक दानव था।
