Transliteration

ṣaṇmukhena mahādevi tatra kṛtvā mahattapaḥ | pratiṣṭhitaṃ mahāliṃgaṃ kumāreśastato'bhavat

Translation

हे महादेवी! वहाँ षण्मुख ने महान् तप किया; तत्पश्चात् एक महालिङ्ग की प्रतिष्ठा हुई, और उसी से वह ‘कुमारेश्वर’ नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ।
