ततः सप्तदशे कल्पे पितृकल्पे तु विश्रुता । दक्षस्य दुहिता जाता सतीनाम्नी महाप्रभा
tataḥ saptadaśe kalpe pitṛkalpe tu viśrutā | dakṣasya duhitā jātā satīnāmnī mahāprabhā
तदनन्तर सत्रहवें कल्प में, जो ‘पितृकल्प’ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है, तुम दक्ष की पुत्री होकर उत्पन्न हुईं—महाप्रभा ‘सती’ नाम से विख्यात।
