विशाले तु कृते देव्या लोचने विष्णुदर्शनात् । विशालाक्षी ततो जाता तत्रस्था दैत्यनाशिनी
viśāle tu kṛte devyā locane viṣṇudarśanāt | viśālākṣī tato jātā tatrasthā daityanāśinī
विष्णु के दर्शन से देवी ने जब अपने नेत्र विशाल किए, तब वे ‘विशालाक्षी’ नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुईं; वहीं स्थित होकर वे दैत्यों का नाश करने वाली बनीं।
