पहले अग्नितीर्थ में स्नान करके मनुष्य विधिपूर्वक उस देवी की पूजा करे। वहाँ वह दम्पति को भोजन कराए और वस्त्र तथा कंचुकी (अंगवस्त्र) भी दान दे।
