स्वायंभुवो मनुः पूर्वं मनुः स्वारोचिषस्ततः । औत्तमस्तामसश्चैव रैवतश्चाक्षुषस्ततः
svāyaṃbhuvo manuḥ pūrvaṃ manuḥ svārociṣastataḥ | auttamastāmasaścaiva raivataścākṣuṣastataḥ
पहले स्वायंभुव मनु हैं, फिर स्वारोचिष मनु। उनके बाद औत्तम और तामस, और फिर क्रम से रैवत तथा चाक्षुष हैं।
