Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) narrating (contextual attribution within Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa māhātmya style)
Tirtha: Rukmiṇī-hrada / Bhṛgu-tīrtha
Type: kund
Scene: A serene pond revered as Rukmiṇī-hrada; Bhṛgu ṛṣi is shown performing austerity or offering arghya at its bank; subtle Kali-yuga markers (simpler attire, fewer grand rites).
A tīrtha is validated by saintly association; when great ṛṣis frequent a place, its sanctity and fame become established for pilgrims.
Rukmiṇī-hrada, also known as Bhṛgu-tīrtha, in the Dvārakā-māhātmya setting.
No explicit rite here; it provides the tīrtha’s names and the reason for the epithet ‘Bhṛgu-tīrtha’.
