dvārakāṃ gaṃtukāmaṃ yaḥ pratyahaṃ kurute naraḥ | phalamāpnoti manujaḥ kurukṣetrasamudbhavam
Mārkaṇḍeya (contextual continuation)
Tirtha: Dvārakā (as intended destination) / Kurukṣetra (as merit benchmark)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee at home performing dawn saṅkalpa facing west toward the sea, visualizing Dvārakā; a faint overlay shows Kurukṣetra’s sacred field to indicate the merit equivalence.
In Purāṇic dharma, sincere resolve (saṅkalpa) and steady longing for a tīrtha carry real spiritual potency, even before the journey occurs.
Dvārakā is praised, with Kurukṣetra used as a comparator for the resulting merit.
Maintain a daily intention/saṅkalpa to go to Dvārakā.
