शेष उवाच । प्रसादिता मया माता शापमुक्तिकृते पुरा । तयोक्तं ये तपोयुक्ता धर्मात्मानः सुसंयताः

Transliteration

śeṣa uvāca | prasāditā mayā mātā śāpamuktikṛte purā | tayoktaṃ ye tapoyuktā dharmātmānaḥ susaṃyatāḥ

Translation

शेष बोले—पूर्वकाल में शापमुक्ति के लिए मैंने माता को प्रसन्न किया। तब उन्होंने कहा—जो तपस्वी, धर्मात्मा और संयमी होंगे, उन्हें (उद्दिष्ट) मुक्ति प्राप्त होगी।
