एते च वांछते नित्यं तक्षको द्विज कुण्डले । स तथेति समादाय विस्मयोत्फुल्ललोचनः । कौतुकात्पुनरागत्य राजानं वाक्यमब्रवीत्
ete ca vāṃchate nityaṃ takṣako dvija kuṇḍale | sa tatheti samādāya vismayotphullalocanaḥ | kautukātpunarāgatya rājānaṃ vākyamabravīt
“हे द्विज, तक्षक नाग सदा इन कुंडलों की इच्छा करता है।” यह कहकर उसने उन्हें उठा लिया; विस्मय से उसकी आँखें फैल गईं। फिर कौतूहलवश लौटकर उसने राजा से ये वचन कहे।
