गालव उवाच । इति ते कथितं सर्वं शालग्रामस्य कारणम् । यथा स भगवान्विष्णुः पाषाणत्वमुपा गतः
gālava uvāca | iti te kathitaṃ sarvaṃ śālagrāmasya kāraṇam | yathā sa bhagavānviṣṇuḥ pāṣāṇatvamupā gataḥ
गालव बोले—इस प्रकार तुम्हें शालग्राम का समस्त कारण कह दिया गया, और यह भी कि वह भगवान् विष्णु किस प्रकार पाषाण-भाव को प्राप्त हुए।
