इत्युक्ते चंडिका देवी तदा भक्तशिरस्त्विदम् । अभ्युक्ष्य सुधया शीघ्रमजरं चामरं व्यधात्
ityukte caṃḍikā devī tadā bhaktaśirastvidam | abhyukṣya sudhayā śīghramajaraṃ cāmaraṃ vyadhāt
ऐसा कहे जाने पर चण्डिका देवी ने उस भक्त के सिर पर शीघ्र अमृत का छिड़काव किया और उसे अजर तथा अमर बना दिया।
