यद्येनमधुना नैव हन्यां ब्रह्मवचोऽन्यथा । ततो भवेदिति स्मृत्वा मयासौ विनिपातितः
yadyenamadhunā naiva hanyāṃ brahmavaco'nyathā | tato bhavediti smṛtvā mayāsau vinipātitaḥ
“यदि मैं अभी इसे न मारता, तो ब्रह्मा का वचन अन्यथा (असत्य) हो जाता। आगे क्या होगा यह स्मरण करके मैंने इसे गिरा दिया।”
