संसर्गी सर्वरोगी स्यात्पंचपातकिनस्त्वमी । निंदामाकर्ण्य साधूनां बधिरः संप्रजायते
saṃsargī sarvarogī syātpaṃcapātakinastvamī | niṃdāmākarṇya sādhūnāṃ badhiraḥ saṃprajāyate
ऐसे पापियों का संग करने वाला सब रोगों से ग्रस्त होता है; ये ही पाँच महापातकी हैं। और साधुओं की निंदा सुनने वाला बधिर जन्म लेता है।
