अनुस्वारो विसर्गश्च जिह्वामूलीय एव च । उपध्मानीय इत्येते जरायुजास्तथांडजाः
anusvāro visargaśca jihvāmūlīya eva ca | upadhmānīya ityete jarāyujāstathāṃḍajāḥ
अनुस्वार, विसर्ग, जिह्वामूलीय तथा उपध्मानीय—ये ही (चिह्न) कहे गए हैं; और यहाँ वे गर्भज तथा अण्डज प्राणियों के रूप में भी निरूपित हैं।
