कृशोतीव गलत्कुष्ठी प्रमुह्यंश्च पदेपेद । नंदभद्रमुवाचेदं कृच्छ्रात्संस्तभ्य बालकः
kṛśotīva galatkuṣṭhī pramuhyaṃśca padepeda | naṃdabhadramuvācedaṃ kṛcchrātsaṃstabhya bālakaḥ
वह बालक अत्यन्त कृश था, उसका कुष्ठ गल रहा था, और वह पग-पग पर मूर्छित होता था; बड़ी कठिनाई से स्वयं को सँभालकर उसने नन्दभद्र से ये वचन कहे।
