ह्रियतेर्द्धं हि तत्रापि यच्छेषं तद्धि जीवितम् । जीवितांतेच मरणं महाघोरमवाप्नुयात्
hriyaterddhaṃ hi tatrāpi yaccheṣaṃ taddhi jīvitam | jīvitāṃteca maraṇaṃ mahāghoramavāpnuyāt
वहाँ भी उसका कुछ अंश हर लिया जाता है; जो शेष रह जाता है वही वास्तव में ‘जीवन’ कहलाता है। और जीवन के अंत में अत्यन्त घोर मृत्यु का सामना होता है।
