लिंगाच्च पूर्वतः कूपेस्नात्वा यस्तर्पयेत्पितॄन् । सर्वतीर्थफलावाप्तिः पितॄणां चाक्षया गतिः
liṃgācca pūrvataḥ kūpesnātvā yastarpayetpitṝn | sarvatīrthaphalāvāptiḥ pitṝṇāṃ cākṣayā gatiḥ
लिङ्ग के पूर्व दिशा के कूप में स्नान करके जो पितरों का तर्पण करता है, वह समस्त तीर्थों का फल पाता है; और पितरों को अक्षय गति प्राप्त होती है।
