कुमार पश्य दैत्येंद्रं कालं यद्वद्युगात्यये । अयं स येन तपसा घोरेणाराधितः शिवः
kumāra paśya daityeṃdraṃ kālaṃ yadvadyugātyaye | ayaṃ sa yena tapasā ghoreṇārādhitaḥ śivaḥ
हे कुमार, इस दैत्येन्द्र को देखो—युगान्त के काल के समान। यही वह है जिसने घोर तप से शिव को आराधित किया।
