नारद उवाच । श्रुत्वैतं संस्तवं दैत्यः संघुष्टं देवबंदिभिः । सस्मार ब्रह्मणो वाक्यं वधं बालादुपस्थितम्
nārada uvāca | śrutvaitaṃ saṃstavaṃ daityaḥ saṃghuṣṭaṃ devabaṃdibhiḥ | sasmāra brahmaṇo vākyaṃ vadhaṃ bālādupasthitam
नारद बोले—देवताओं के वन्दियों द्वारा ऊँचे स्वर से गाया गया यह स्तवन सुनकर उस दैत्य ने ब्रह्मा का वचन स्मरण किया कि दिव्य बालक के हाथों उसका वध अब समीप आ पहुँचा है।
