rudra uvāca | adya nunaṃ prahṛṣṭānāṃ surāṇāṃ vividhā giraḥ | śrūyaṃte ca tathā devī yathā jātaḥ sutastava
Rudra (Śiva)
Listener: Pārvatī (Devī)
Scene: Śiva (Rudra) calmly explains to Pārvatī that the jubilant cries of the gods fill the quarters because her son has been born; the heavens appear festive though the child is not yet shown.
Divine birth is framed as a dharmic turning point that uplifts the cosmos and brings joy to the devas.
No tīrtha is named in this verse.
None; it is an explanatory statement by Śiva.
