महीनाम नदी च पृथिव्यां यानिकानिचित् । तीर्थानि तेषां सलिलसंभवं तज्जलं विदुः
mahīnāma nadī ca pṛthivyāṃ yānikānicit | tīrthāni teṣāṃ salilasaṃbhavaṃ tajjalaṃ viduḥ
पृथ्वी पर जितने भी तीर्थ हैं और ‘मही’ नाम की नदी भी—उन सबका जल उसी पवित्र प्रवाह से उत्पन्न हुआ, ऐसा जानो।
