त उचुः । शापभ्रष्टा वयं ब्रह्मंश्चत्वारोऽपि स्वकर्मणा । तन्मुक्तिसाधनार्थाय स्थानं किंचित्समादिश
ta ucuḥ | śāpabhraṣṭā vayaṃ brahmaṃścatvāro'pi svakarmaṇā | tanmuktisādhanārthāya sthānaṃ kiṃcitsamādiśa
वे बोले—हे ब्राह्मण, अपने ही कर्मों से हम चारों शाप के कारण अपने पूर्व पद से गिर गए हैं। अतः उस दशा से मुक्ति के साधन हेतु हमें कोई स्थान बताइए।
