निरीक्ष्य तां तपस्यंतीं विधिः संशुद्धमानसाम् । उपेत्योवाच सुप्रज्ञे प्रसन्नोस्मि वरं वृणु
nirīkṣya tāṃ tapasyaṃtīṃ vidhiḥ saṃśuddhamānasām | upetyovāca suprajñe prasannosmi varaṃ vṛṇu
उसकी पूर्णतः शुद्ध-चित्त होकर तपस्या करते देख विधि (ब्रह्मा) पास आए और बोले—“हे सुप्रज्ञे! मैं प्रसन्न हूँ; वर माँग लो।”
