Tirtha: Savitṛ-upāsanā (sandhyā) in Kāśī
Type: ghat
Scene: From Savitṛ’s rays emerge scenes: friends gathered, a child in arms, a couple united, fertile fields, symbols of eight enjoyments, and above them a stairway to svarga culminating in a serene light of apavarga.
Purāṇic dharma frames worship as granting both worldly stability and the highest end—mokṣa—when performed rightly.
The Kāśī-khaṇḍa setting implicitly glorifies Kāśī as the ideal sacred geography where dharma culminates in liberation.
Continued implication of Savitṛ/Gāyatrī upāsanā at proper times as the means yielding these fruits.
