हिरण्यगर्भस्तं प्राह जाने त्वां चंद्रशेखरम् । भालस्थलान्ममपुरा रुद्रः प्रादुरभूद्भवान्
hiraṇyagarbhastaṃ prāha jāne tvāṃ caṃdraśekharam | bhālasthalānmamapurā rudraḥ prādurabhūdbhavān
हिरण्यगर्भ (ब्रह्मा) ने उससे कहा—“मैं तुम्हें चन्द्रशेखर के रूप में जानता हूँ; पूर्वकाल में तुम मेरे ललाट-प्रदेश से रुद्र रूप में प्रकट हुए थे।”
