ततः पुंसवनं तेन स्पंदनात्प्राग्विपश्चिता । गृह्योक्तविधिना सम्यक्कृतं पुंस्त्वविवृद्धये
tataḥ puṃsavanaṃ tena spaṃdanātprāgvipaścitā | gṛhyoktavidhinā samyakkṛtaṃ puṃstvavivṛddhaye
इसके बाद गर्भ के प्रथम स्पंदन से पहले, उस विद्वान ने गृ्ह्यसूत्रों में बताए विधान के अनुसार ‘पुंसवन’ संस्कार भली-भाँति कराया, ताकि पुत्रत्व (पुत्र-समृद्धि) की वृद्धि हो।
