रुद्राक्षमालाभरणास्त्रिपुंड्रांकितमस्तकाः । शिखाजटास्सर्वजटा अजटा मुंडशीर्षकाः
rudrākṣamālābharaṇāstripuṃḍrāṃkitamastakāḥ | śikhājaṭāssarvajaṭā ajaṭā muṃḍaśīrṣakāḥ
वे रुद्राक्ष-मालाओं से विभूषित थे और उनके मस्तक पर भस्म का त्रिपुण्ड्र अंकित था। कोई शिखा सहित जटा धारण करते थे, कोई सर्वत्र जटाधारी थे, कोई अजटा थे और कोई मुण्डित-शीर्ष थे।

Rudrākṣa and Tripuṇḍra are classic emblems of Saguna Śiva worship connected to Linga-upāsanā; they express belonging to Śiva’s path while disciplining the body-mind as an aid to steady remembrance of the Lord.
Wear Rudrākṣa as a japa-support and apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) on the forehead with Shiva-mantra remembrance (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), cultivating vairāgya and focused bhakti.
