गजाननपूजा तथा औपासन-होमविधिः

Worship of Gajānana and the Procedure of Aupāsana-Homa

जंघां च योजयेत्पश्चात्त्वगाद्यं धातुसप्तकम् । प्राणाद्यं पञ्चकं पश्चादन्नाद्यं कोशपञ्चकम्

फिर जंघाओं का मानसिक न्यास करे; उसके बाद त्वचा आदि सात धातुओं का; फिर प्राण आदि पाँच का; और फिर अन्नमय आदि पाँच कोशों का—इस प्रकार शिव-उपदेश से तत्त्वों को क्रम से विवेचित करे।

It instructs a step-by-step inner mapping of the body’s layers—limbs, constituents (dhātus), vital functions, and the five kośas—so the seeker can discriminate the bound soul’s instruments (pāśa) from the witnessing Self that is to be offered to Śiva for liberation.

Such contemplation supports Saguna Śiva-upāsanā by purifying attention: as the practitioner recognizes body and prāṇa as mutable coverings, the mind becomes fit to steady itself on Śiva’s form (Liṅga) and, through grace, move toward the formless reality beyond coverings.

A meditative nyāsa-like internal placement: sequentially contemplate the bodily limb, the dhātus, the prāṇa-group, and the five kośas, using this discernment to detach from identification and to fix devotion on Śiva (optionally alongside japa of the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
