Sukta 7.47
तमूर्मिमापो मधुमत्तमं वोऽपां नपादवत्वाशुहेमा । यस्मिन्निन्द्रो वसुभिर्मादयाते तमश्याम देवयन्तो वो अद्य ॥
tám ū́rmim ā́po mádhumattamaṃ vo’pā́ṃ napād avatu āśuhemā́ | yásmin índro vásubhir mā́dayāte tám aśyāma deváyanto vo adyá ||
हे आपः! अपां नपात्—स्वर्णमय वेग से शीघ्र गमन करने वाला—तुम्हारी उस ऊर्मि की रक्षा करे, जो मधुमत्तम (अत्यन्त मधुर) है। जिसमें इन्द्र वसुओं के साथ मद करता है—उसको, देवयन्त हम, तुम्हारे द्वारा आज प्राप्त करें।
