स नो विभावा चक्षणिर्न वस्तोरग्निर्वन्दारु वेद्यश्चनो धात् । विश्वायुर्यो अमृतो मर्त्येषूषर्भुद्भूदतिथिर्जातवेदाः ॥
sá no vibhā́vā cakṣáṇir na vástor agnír vandā́ru védyaś canó dhāt | viśvā́yur yó amṛ́to mártyeṣūṣár-bhūd bhūd átithir jā́tavedāḥ ||
हमारे लिए वह दूर-दीप्तिमान अग्नि—उषा के समय विवेकशील नेत्र के समान—वंदनीय और वेद्य (ज्ञेय) उपस्थिति को स्थापित करे। जो विश्व-आयु है, मर्त्यों में अमृत है—उषा के साथ जन्मा—वह जातवेदस् हमारे भीतर अतिथि-रूप से निवास करे।
