Sukta 5.83
वि वृक्षान्हन्त्युत हन्ति रक्षसो विश्वं बिभाय भुवनं महावधात् । उतानागा ईषते वृष्ण्यावतो यत्पर्जन्यः स्तनयन्हन्ति दुष्कृतः ॥
ví vṛkṣā́n hanty utá hanti rakṣáso víśvaṃ bibhāya bhúvanaṃ mahā́vadhāt | utā́nāgā īṣate vṛṣṇyā́vato yát parjányā́ḥ stanáyan hánti duṣkṛ́taḥ ||
वह वृक्षों को भी प्रहार करता है और रक्षसों का भी संहार करता है; उसके महा-आयुध के भय से समस्त भुवन काँप उठता है। जब गर्जन करता हुआ पर्जन्य दुष्कृत्यों को दण्डित करता है, तब निरपराध भी विचलित हो उठते हैं।
