Description of Lanka’s Fortifications and Forces

स्थितापारेसमुद्रस्यदूरपारस्यराघव ।नौपथोपिश्चनास्त्यत्रनिरादेशश्चसर्वशः ।।।।

sthitāpāre samudrasya dūrapārasya rāghava | naupatho 'pi ca nāsty atra nirādeśaś ca sarvaśaḥ ||

हे राघव, वह समुद्र के दूरस्थ पार तट पर स्थित है—जिस समुद्र को पार करना कठिन है; वहाँ जहाज़ों का मार्ग भी नहीं है और चारों ओर से पहुँच का कोई उपाय नहीं।
